Chinese Communist Party's policy towards ethnic minorities has changed over time as it encourages the regional autonomy of ethnic minorities region. It gives them preferential treatment like allowing them to have more than one children if they are not living in urban areas, practice their own religion and culture. Ethnic minority policy has given more chances to ethnic minorities affected by China's economic reforms as information is easily available and can be exchanged through electronic mediums. The financial incentives in terms of education, tuition fees and stipends and access to employment opportunities.
The current policies are expected to be successful in forging an ethnic and religiously harmonious nation as minorities are recognised, their concerns are identified and are being given opportunities to grow and benefit from the policies.
