In the given case, the inheritance pattern is X-linked dominant, which means the dominant gene is carried by the X-chromosome. Therefore, if a male is affected by this type of inheritance, then his all daughter would be affected because each of his daughters will carry an XX sex chromosome, one each from father and the mother, and since X chromosome of the father is dominant, so the daughters will certainly be affected. so their corresponding gene would more like to resembles like of their father. on the other hand, sons will not carry an X chromosome from their father, rather they would carry a Y-chromosome. therefore, their corresponding genes would not show similarity. hence, the given answer is as.
