Describe the conditions under which quarantine might be expected to affect the virulence of a pathogen. What are some key ethical issues that you see as possibly arising from the imposition of quarantine?
Quarantine is the isolation of plants animals or individual who are infected from contagious disease for the prevention of spreading of infectious disease or pests (in case of plants).
Quarantine might be expected to affect the virulence of a pathogen, it's the true concept regarding quarantine. It can be understood by the thing that if individual is infected from any virus which is less virulent it can propagate for longer within the host and there are more chances for their spreading into the other host and also with the evolved virulent efficiency but if the virus is highly virulent it can propagate only within the infected person and get vanished with the host killing, so there will be less chances of propagation as their spreading is limited to an individual host.
Ethical issues arising from the imposition of quarantine are:
Liberty of individual due to restrictive measures.
Public health as quarantine is implemented for highly contagious/ communicable, newly evolved disease.
Bioterrorism exercises, if newly emerged quarantine diseases were not taken care off, then chances of using these quarantine in bio-war will definitely get increase.

Scenario- You have been invited to attend a meeting where your immediate supervisor will be presenting a draft of detailed financial projections to the chief financial officer and a subsequent meeting with the company president. You've not been involved in the preparation of the analysis thus far but understand that you might have some tasks delegated to you after the meeting. In addition, you realize that the company is at a critical juncture from issues such as high attrition of...
In plain language, describe what the oxygen-hemoglobin dissociation curve shows. Under normal conditions, the curve can shift to the right and left. A right shift can be induced by increased temperature and lower pH among other things. Describe what a right shift means in terms of hemoglobin’s relationship to oxygen. In your answer, be sure you address what is actually happening at the level of the protein (hemoglobin is a protein). Discuss what types of molecular interactions that can cause...
