Ans :- The element of the period 2 is Carbon

Explanation :-

Because carbon carry 4 electrons in its valence shell (1s22s22p2), therefore value of 5th ionization energy i.e. I.E5 for carbon will be very high (as shown in the graph) as carbon carry the noble gas electronic configuration of He i.e. 1s2 after removing 4 electrons. So, I.E5 of carbon will be very high. Hence, the given element of period 2 will be Carbon.
