When i started learning HTML and CSS i started with codecademy because it was the easiest and the most intuitive for me. It did get me into the basics of it but i was missing that push that i needed to develop my understand for it further. That is when i started looking for other resources and came across Lynda and w3school (Free). At least for HTML and CSS these services really helped me improve my theoretical understanding and apply it in my own projects. Lynda has a monthly subscription which lets you stream not only one particular course but all the courses in their catalog.

For design inspiration i always look for people’s portfolio and pinterest plus deviantart always has resources for me to be inspired with
