The coverage to the initiative Green Chemistry is insignificant in newspapers these days. The media doesn't highlight it as it doesn't bring viewership or readership.

Subject : Coverage regarding Green Chemistry

Respected Sir,

                       This is to address that I have been a regular reader of "The Tribune " but had to express with great disappointment that there has been no coverage of "Green Chemistry " and its contribution to society in your "Science Today" section. With increase in weightage of other topics, Green Chemistry has almost been forgotten.

In the days when pollution is on rise, it is important to aware the citizens about Reuse , Reduce and Recycle. Emphasis on green chemistry allows focus on designing products that can reduce the pollution, convert garbage and waste into useful substance. The newspaper should promote the use of Green solvents which will decrease the amount of toxic substance .

It should address the use of sustainable resources, biotechnology alternatives to all kinds of chemistry based solutions. In its summer summit it should advertise the synthetic methods deployed in development of environmentally friendly products.

The Tribune has large number of circulation and hence creates impact on mind of common people. It is therefore important to promote Green Chemistry to save Environment and Save Earth.
