There are various media outlets such
as newspapers, television, radios, magazine, and social media. So
there are different audience groups for different media outlets.
The same story is presented in a different way to target the
audience of a different outlet like a report for the newspaper to
target literate and learners, debate for television to target
family members household, news headline in radios and memes,
pictorial presentation, tweets, bytes in social media to target the
youth population and netizens.
I think media outlets cover the same story differently
because:
1. The same news or story is covered by different reporters working
for a different media house that wants the news to be presented
differently.
2. All the reporter has to follow the editorial lines of employers
which may differ by one media house to another.
3. There is huge competition among the media houses and channels to
attract viewers so obviously they prefer to do present the story
keeping the mindset of viewers.
4. Some of the media houses are politically biased so they present
the story accordingly.
5. Newspaper, television, radios and social media have different
set of audience
