According to Darwin's theory of evolution, only the fittest will survive. An organism adapts and modifies itself according to the environment. This helps them to survive and continue to exist.

When the first antibiotic was introduced, bacterias had no defense mechanism ready to fight the effects of antibiotics, which leads to curtailment of the menace of bacteria. Antibiotics were started to be used widely, and defense mechanism inside the cell of bacteria made them tolerant towards antibiotics in the due course of time. Now, to counter the antibiotic resistance bacteria, new and stronger antibiotics were developed. Now the same cycle is repeated once again and some of the bacterias are showing no sign to the effects of stronger antibiotics as they have developed resistance. For example, in the case of tuberculosis, now there are some types of disease which are showing extreme drug resistance.
