8) The gas pressure is calculated:

P = Po + D * g * h

Where:

Po: Initial pressure in Pascal

D: Mercury density

g: Acceleration of gravity

h: Height of the column

P = 89326 Pa + 13550 Kg / m3 * 9.81 m / s2 * 0.01 m = 90655 Pa

The pressure in mmHg is calculated:

P = 90655 Pa * (760 mmHg / 101352 Pa) = 680 mmHg

The restultado of:

P = Patm + h mercury = 670 + 10 = 680 mmHg

9) If the mercury level decreases, the volume of gas inside the burette will also decrease.
