the security of the software and its data is also very important to
use. We should pay special attention to software security and the
data which is used and stored by the software. Some of the
important concepts to note when it comes to software security
are:
a) The software should be a licensed software, i.e. either an
open-source free one or a paid licensed one.
b) The software should not be pirated or illegally modified.
c) Software usage should be secure for use and the handling of the
data our data, i.e. it should not leak or jeopardize the data which
the software uses.
d) The software can be online or offline and thus the data use can
be offline or online handled and thus software should be used
cautiously such as the data
e) Confidentiality, integrity and also the availability of the
software and the data which is handled by the software. The results
should be available well within the software for the user's
use/reference.
f) Authentication of the software for the users should be there and
a strong authentication mechanism should be well-implemented in
place.
