TRUE VALUE = 8.490

a. Absolute error =|experimented value - true value|

= 8.516-8.490 = 0.026

Percentage error = (absolute error /true value) *100

= 0.026*100/8.490 = 0.30%

b. Absolute error = |8.371-8.490| = 0.119

Percentage error = 0.119*100/8.490 = 1.40%

c. Absolute error = |8.397-8.490| = 0.093

Percentage error = 0.093*100/8.490 = 1.09%

3. Mass = 24.893 gm

Volume = 4.8 L

Density = mass/ volume = 24.893/4.8 = 5.186 gm/L

Converting it to 2 significant number after decimal we got

Density = 5.19 gm/L
