Why are engineers interested in reversible processes even though they can never be achieved? Someone claims to hare developed a new reversible heat-engine cycle that has the same theoretical efifidiency as the Carnot cycle operating between the same temperature limits. Is th is a reasonable claim? Why or why not? On a T-s diagram, does the actual exit state (state 2) of an adiabatic ubine have to be on the right-hand side of the ise ntropic exit state (state 25)1? Why?
