Answer #1

This will be a binomial distribution with parameters:

n = 9, p = 0.60

Hence,

P(Atleast 5)

= 1 - P(Less than 5)

= 1 - P(Less than or equal to 4)

= 1 - binom.dist(4, 9, 0.60, True) [Excel Formula]

= 0.7334

    Of all 3- to 5-year old children, 56% are enrolled in school. We are looking at a sample of 500 such children, and this is thought to follow a binomial distribution.
