CuSO4 dissociates to Cu2+ and SO4^2- and H2O dissociates as H+ and OH- . Based on activity series half reaction we observe at cathode and anode are shown below

at cathode : Cu2+ (aq) + 2e- (aq) --> Cu (s)

At anode : 2H2O + 4e- --> O2 (g) + 4H+ (aq)

current i = 15.4 A , time t = 20 min = 20 x 60 = 1200 s , F = faraday constant = 96485 C ,

we use formula m = ( i x t / F) x ( M/z) to calculate mass m of Cu depoisted

M is molar mass of Cu = 63.546 g/mol ,  

z = magnitude charge of Cu ion = 2

substituting we get m = ( 1200 x 15.4 / 96485) x ( 63.546 / 2)

m = 0.6 g
