Answer #1

Man has been trying to understand the nature and behavior of different types of matter ever since the dawn of civilization. The earliest treatises go back to the Greek (7th century) and Indian philosophers, in 6th century BCE. This would mean that man has been curious about the nature of matter for over 2500 years, close to 2800 years.

The closest option to this is option B, which says 3000 years.
