Sickle cell anemia is a condition Inwhich RBCs are have different shape than normal Biconcave disc- shape. The shape looks like Crescent or Sickle. The Hb present in scRBCs is called as "S" Hb.

These RBCs areStiff and sticky, they will block the flow in blood vesselss, limbs and organs. Due to this rigid ness the membrane of RBC get dameged and die with in 10 to 20 ofter the released into blood from bone marrow.
