Hydrogen bonding in a molecule results in the broadening of OH stretching IR bands. Also, presence of Hydrogen bond results in weakening of OH bond strength. Hence, the frequency shifts to lower numbers and wavelengths shifts to higher number.

Thus, if the strength of Hydrogen bonding is more, then greater is the shift of wavelengths to higher number and more will be the broadening of OH peak.
