By repetition patterns of beds: A symmetric repetition of beds helps in recognizing the fold. Example on a linear path if the repetition occurs in

the pattern DCBCD, this would mean that the fold axis is located in bed B which divides the sequence into 2 halves which are mirror image to each other (Fig. 3.70) & Co Fig. 3.70
so if you go from A to A', you find that beds are repeating in same pattern as discussed above.

Therefore you can identify that it could be fold.
