Answer #1

FBD of m2

m2 a = m2 g - T

T = m2 g - m2 a... (i)

FBD of m1

m1 a = T - m1 g sin x

putting value of T from (i)

m1 a = m2 g - m2 a - m1 g sin x

a ( m1 + m2) = g ( m2 - m1 sin x)

a ( 3.7 + 4.3) = 9.8* ( 4.3 - 3.7* sin 30)

a = 3 m/s^2

=====

putting in (i)

T = 29.235 N
