Distinguish between an antiseptic and a disinfectant and disinfection and sanitization.
Antiseptic and disinfectants are seem to be same due to their function againest to the microorganisms. but we can make it difference between them basing on percentage of chemical composition and area of application.
Antiseptics are applying on the living tissues or human body to kill the mictrobes on the tissues. Disinfectants are also kills the microorganisms on the nonlivig things like cleanig the instruments and house hold things.
but we can't use the disinfectants to living things due to their high toxic nature.
Disinfection: this is the process where all the microorganisms kills by the disinfectantants on nonliving things.but these disinfactants are unable to eliminate the bacterial spores. Disinfection process can reached by chemical and physical methods.but filtration method can't kill the microbes, it will separate the microbes.
Sanitization: this process is commonly used in public health systems and all industries. this process also used by chemical and physical methodes for prevent microbes on eating vessels to protect the public health.
