1) It is disaccharide but not a reducing sugar because it consists of two monosaccharides which are bonded by alpha 1-1 glycosidic linkage and there is no free anomeric carbonyl group (C=O).

Both the aldehyde groups are not free. Hence it is non reducing sugar .

The above mentioned sugar would be trehalose which is formed from two alpha glucose units which are bonded by 1-1 linkage.

1) A reddish orange solid with Benedict's test - infers moderate reducing sugars

b) A reddish precipitate with the Barfoed's test - reducing monosaccharide/disaccharide

c) A red color within 1 minute with the Seliwanoff's test - Presence of ketoses

d) A yellow color with the iodine test - infers absence of starch

As above first three tests are positive then the carbohydrate would be monosaccharide ketose sugar like fructose.
