Answer #1

Answer 4)

   Ribosomal subunits dissociate

Final steps in the translation include the release of the deacylated tRNA from the P-site, Dissociation of the mRNA from the ribosome and disassembly of the ribosome into its large and small sunbunits in preparation for another round of translation.

So not dissocistion of ribosomal subunit taking place, it's disassembly of the ribosome into its large and small subunit.

Translation

Termination)

  • No tRNAs exits whose anticodon are complementary to a stop codon.
  • When ribosomes reaches one of these codons, UAA, UAG or UGA, the single is read to stop further elongation.
  • Release the polypeptide associated with the last tRNA.
  • Termination requires release factors. Release factors can be divided into two group: class 1 RFs, which recognize stop are GTP binding proteins ( G proteins ) whose roles are not understand properly.
  • Bacteria have two class1 RFs : RF1 which recognizes UAA and UAG stop codons and RF2 ; which recognizes UAA and UGA stop codons.
  • Eukaryotes have a single class 1RF, eRF1 ,which recognizes all three stop codons.
  • Class 1RFs enter the A-site of the ribosome, where a conserved tripeptide at one end of the release factor is thought to interact directly with the stop codon in the Asite not unlike the way that an anticodon triplet of a tRNA molecules would interact with a sense codon in that site.
  • The ester bond linking the nascent polypetide chain to the tRNA is then hydrolyzed, and the completed polypetide is released.
  • At this point, hydrolysis of the GTP bound to the Class 2 RF ( RF3 or eRF3) leads to the release of the class 1RF from the ribosome's Asite.
  • Final steps in translation include the release of the deacylated tRNA from the ribosome and disassembly of the rbosome into its large and small subunits in preparation for another round of translation .
  • These final steps require a number of protein factors.
  • In bacterial cells, these proteins include EF-G, IF3 and RRF ( Ribosome recycling factor) , which promotes ribosomal subunit separation.
