Answer #1

Positive density dependence or the Allee effect is found in the ecosystem when the growth rate of the population extremely low at extremely low population density possibly due to lack of mating . If such populations are newly established they grow very slowly in density however such populations soon experience accelerated growth which later leads to negative density dependence. So no , the clumping when foundation species are used in restoration is not a positive Allee effect , as clumping in foundation species tends to annihilate the Allee effect this is because foundation species are dominant species of the ecosystem and are strong colonizer, further they are capable of reproducing at a exceptional fast rate even under adverse conditions and produce byproduct that are advantageous to the ecosystem and are capable of hosting other organisms this is also a reason they are used as restorer on deteriorated ecosystem. Some good example of foundation species are beaver , lichen , kelp etc.
