I know there’s a Different way to do the retrosynthesis of this problem by attacking the grinard first but is the method I proposed below fine as well?

Nope. By following the above sequence of reaction you will not have the product.

first reagent mentioned is used for the oxidation of alcohol to aldehyde/acids and then following reagents used are of no use.

From my point of view I would go with following retrosynthesis

он Rubottom oxidation So the synthesis squence will be 1) Rubottom oxidation of cyclohexanone 2) etherification 2) grignard reaction

you can have other routes of  retrosynthesis.
