Answer #1

1.) A turbine is an actuator that can convert fluidic energy to mechanical energy. A turbine has a rotary structure where fluid flow will cause the structure to rotate. This rotation can then be used as mechanical energy. Thus, the typical actuator that can convert fluidic energy to mechanical energy is Turbine.

2.) A motor that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. The special feature of this set up is that it can be used to generate electrical energy again directly from the descending weight. That electrical energy illuminates a small lamp. This device work because of electromagnetic induction, which is when voltage is induced by a changing magnetic field.

3.)  A generator converts mechanical energy into electrical energy. Generator work because of electromagnetic induction, which is when voltage is induced by a changing magnetic field.

4.) A vehicle moving is an example of chemical energy being converted into kinetic energy.Gasoline (chemical) is put into our cars and with the help of electrical energy from a battery provides mechanical (kinetic) energy.

5.) A thermoelectric generator (TEG) also called a Seebeck generator is a solid state device that converts heat flux (temperature differences) directly into electrical energy through a phenomenon called the Seebeck effect (a form of thermoelectric effect).

Thermoelectric generators could be used in power plants to convert waste heat into additional electrical power and in automobiles as automotive thermoelectric generators (ATGs) to increase fuel efficiency.
