When we think about having an open communication with a customer, if we ask them about the price, service or other aspects of the competitors, we would be ethically unjustifiable, especially if the pricing aspect of the company isn't a public knowledge. First, collusion cannot always be trusted, the customer may not have the proper knowledge regarding the subject and therefore, the whole process would become flawed. It also has implications when it comes to manipulating the buying decisions of the customers and essentially taking away their element of selection and ability to compare the products of the two company on its merits. This process is not justifiable, even when it is legal in some countries.
