18.a.strong pressure gradient.-closely spaced isobars indicate the steep slope of map and slope is proportional to the strong pressure gradient. As slope increase pressure gradient increases.

19.c.isobars.-equal value of lines are called isolines,and this line represents the pressure value so we can say that pressure isolines are isobars.Similarly temperature isolines are called isotherm.

20.b.At the North Pole.-Coriolis effect is proportional to latitude.As latitude increses Coriolis effect increases.

According to the Coriolis effect formula,

Fc=2wsin(phi).

At equator latitude=0 degree so Coriolis effect=0

At pole latitude=90degree so Coriolis effect=maximum.
