Ans. The legitimate power of the manager is the power which exists because of the position the manager holds. For eg : Manager telling his or her subordinates to perform a official task is his or her legitimate power which they have to use in order to perform the duties at the official workplace. So , a manager's legitimate power over his or her subordinate exists when any official work needs to be done and that too according to the rules and Laws of the Organisation. In simple words , legitimate power exists while performing official duties.
