What issues would exist with visual recognition of an object if a research participant had his/her corpus callosum severed? What would you need to do in order to observe these deficits?

The main function of the corpus callosum is the processing of cognitive signals. When we see something it is stored as memory in our brain. When we see it again, we recognize the thing as the corpus callosum integrates it with the information. It helps us in identifying the object by connecting the visual cortex in the brain language centre.

If it is severed there is problem in identifying the object.

In such case the treatment is very complex. Physical therapy and anti-seizure medication are applied there. Besides, special education ia also helpful to solve the problems.
