a) When we select a topic for investigation, we are showing interest in that topic and are curious to find more about the same. When we conduct a research, we are curious about a topic and are trying to know more about it. This research can be more about facts, information, features, etc. Using the facts, one can analyze and come up with definitive conclusions about the topic. The same process is followed in investigation. Hence the given assertion that “ Every investigation on a topic of interest is research” is completely valid.
