Do you foresee a time when most workers will be remote?

There are increasing trends for the shared economy where the resources work for different organizations at one point of time and share the time on the basis of projects owned by them. In this scenario, individuals work from remote locations. Further, the organization is going for the global sourcing and moving away from a basket of core and non-core competencies to core competencies only. It will increase the workers who work from remote locations.

Despite, these trends, organizations will hold on to their key employees, build upon their core competencies and would like their human resources to be with them at their locations. Further, in global sourcing also, one person remote for one organization will be full time and working for another organization. So, It will be difficult to foresee that most of the workers will be remote, though the number of workers working from remote locations will increase.
