Ameliorable adverse event refers to a patient safety event warranting investigation and evaluation based on its level and harm and requirement of intervention to sustain life.

Adverse events are the damage caused due to the medical management but not based on the patient’s condition or underlying disease. There are two types adverse event such as - Preventable adverse event which avoids the injury due to an error or issues in system design. Whereas Ameliorable adverse event helps to substantially reduce the impact of the injury severity by following different procedures and investigation based on the patient’s condition.
