Briefly explain the change to mass ratio e/m and its uses.
Charge to mass ratio is a physical quantity that is most widely used in electro dynamics of a charged particle.
The main importance of a charged to mass ratio is that if two particle with the same charge to mass ratio are subjected to same electric and magnetic field, then they both will move in the same path. That is both will move with the same radius in same trajectory.
Also the ratio of electrostatic to gravitational force between two particle will be proportional to their charge to mass ratio.

Derive the equation e/m = (3.29x106)*(Va)/(I2)(R2) for the charge to mass ratio of an electron using the following equations: (1): (e)(Va) = 1/2 mv2 (2): R = mv/eB (3): B = ((4/5)3/2 ) * (µ0)(N)(I)/r where µ0 = 4π × 10−7 H/m ; N = 130; and r = 0.15m
Finding the charge to mass (e/m) ratio of the electron Often in physics, we look for ways to find fundamental physical constants. From the set-up demonstrated in class, we are able to find a monumental combination of two physical constants-the charge of an electron (e) and the mass of an electron (m). Since the charge of an electron (e) is well known through other experiments, we will use the ratio of charge to mass to find the mass of an...
