Determine whether you would characterize the follow compounds as ionic or covalent by calculating the %ionic character of each: CO2, PCl3, FeS, CsCl, CaF2, O3

CO2 = coavalent, nonpolar since C=O cancel each other in a 180°

PCl3 = covalent, polar, since ther is a lone pair repulsin

FeS = ionic, since it is a metal + nonmetal

CsCl = ionic, since it is a metal + nonmetal

CaF2 = ionic, since there is a metal + nonmetal

O3 = covalent, polar, since there is repulsion and resonance
