1. What are your perceptions of the existence of gender inequality in the world around us? How does it show itself and have we just taken it as a fact of life…or are we becoming more aware of the implications it produces?

2. What are some good qualities that make women (more so than men) well suited to assume high-level leadership roles?

3. What is one solution you believe would work to break through the “glass ceiling” and why? Is this something organizations should actively pursue? Why?

1.The perceptions of the existence of gender inequality in the world around us is that because of income gap, social class, economic conditions and education attainment. We can observe income gap in salary of a woman than a man. Earlier, women gets pay less than a man in the same job position. For example of an Artist, a women artist always get pay less for her performance than the man.

Many countries around the world, we can closely see that instead of educating a girl child, they force to perform child marriage. Women always questionable when they become more friendly or when they sick freedom. They always questioned for going out late night, in case of men you can't see to them questioning about going late night.

Gender inequality is always inherited because in earlier times, people believe that women's are born for household chores only. Women talking loud in public places is marked as disrespectful women. Inequality in respect of economic status and colour of you skin is always there.

These gender inequality has been taken as fact of life but the opinion has been changed now. People are getting more about these fact. There are several law has been implemented for right to education for children irrespective any gender. Now a days women gets pay higher than a men if they have true talent or if they deserve for their work. Now men's are equally doing the household chores as women. They don't take it as women's duty only. These things has been changed because of people's awareness and open mindedness. Now the advertisement industry also welcoming any skin colour women for modelling, they observe the talent of person rather than skin colour of a person, they breaking the stereotype. Women's are more openly coming out to speak for them and fights for their rights.

2.There are so many good qualities that make women well suited to assume high-level leadership role. These are

Women have emotional intelligent. This feelings are naturally sense by women. They have the ability to recognise the emotions on themselves and the others. They can create a great work place environment by emotional intelligent to get out of anything form employees and it is very important for any leadership.

They are good listener than a man. They listen to their employees and can think out of box which inspired others, which is another good quality of leader.

They are more systematic and ethical and they become leadership after overcoming all the obstacles of life. They brings discipline in workplace.

Women has many faces due to which they can handle any kinds of crisis situation in a very well manner. This is the most critical things for leadership. They can control tamper and keep calm to any situation than man.

Women has multitasking skills in born. They can do multitasking at a time in any situation which makes them a better leader.

3. Glass ceiling is an artificial and invisible barriers who prevent women and minorities to climbing up the top level management ladder. Working women and minorities always underrepresented in top level management positions and it is blocking their advancement.

Breaking a glass ceiling is extremely critical and complex matter and it needs support & action on various fonts. The educational institutions, governments, employees and women itself plays an important role for holding back them from breaking the glass ceiling.

Government can promote gender equality and practices by awareness of gender inequality, the impact of gender inequality on women, benefits of gender equality, adverse impact of gender inequality on children, families, communities and nation as a whole. Government can make policy for gender discrimination to break down the barriers which holds back women towards development.

Organisations can break the glass ceiling by proactively shows commitment towards gender diversity and gender equality. They can break the barriers by the supports of CEO, breaking preconceptions and stereotypes, and comprehensive. Comprehensive is a specific program which break down the organisational, structural and cultural barriers. It includes targeting more volume of female representative on board, recruitment of female employee. To overcome the other barriers such structural barriers, employers need to make flexible work-life-balance policies. Employers need to design some program which identify, promote and develop women career. Creating mentoring program helps a women to climb up the ladder in their career.
