Anastasia, well-prepared for a scheduled quiz, is getting ready to leave her dorm and walk to one of her classes, when she suddenly breaks out in a cold sweat and becomes weak and shaky. She realizes her heart is racing, and she is afraid she might be having a heart attack. Category: Specific diagnosis: 3. Naseem reads the book Lolita and suddenly starts having nightmares and flashbacks about her own sexual abuse as a child. Category Specific diagnosis: Fourteen-year-old Jarrod has been getting in trouble ever since he was a small child. He has been a petty thief since the age of nine, has been drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana since he was twelve and now goes to school only long enough to bully other students and steal their lunch 4. money. Category: Specific diagnosis: Walking home after work one night, Gina chanced upon a drug deal turning sour. Guns were drawn and shots were fired. She heard the explosions and the whiz of bullets, saw a man fall to the ground bleeding, and watched a car race away with squealing tires. She was so shaken after this incident that she quit her job so that she would not have to go to that section of town. She refused to take another night job because she did not want to go out at night. Finally, she found that she could not bear the idea of getting any job because she did not feel safe leaving her apartment at all. 5. Category: Specific diagnosis:

1)Reggie - Depression: In depression a person may feel low, is often charchetrized by mood disorder. Often blood test is done for diagnosis or other extensive lab tests. There is often sadness, as stated in the case. Additionally feeling of hopelessness, weight gain/loss, loss of enjoyment, problems with concentration etc.,

2)Anastasia :Panic attack/Anxiety disorder: It means you have sudden and intense fear. There is significant change in behaviour such as losing control, having fear, shaking, going crazy. Again this can be diagnosed through blood test.

3)Naseem: Post traumatic stres disorder: It is a disorder, in which a person faces serious trauma in life or may be a life threatning situation such as sexual aasault. The person again witnesses the same feeling whenever he reads , or experiences or watches it happen to somebody else.There are recurring memories, dreams , images, flashbacks. One tries to avoid the topic. There is difficuilty in concentration, sleep etc,

4) Jarrod : Conduct disorder: In conduct disorder, children have difficuilty in following social rules and behaving in socially acceptable way. There is aggressive behaviour such as bullying, using a weapon, Deceitful behaviour: lying,breaking, stealing Violation of rule: consuming drugs, alcohol, skipping school. There is often stressful event or broken family background involved.

5) Gina: Schizophrenia: Schizophrenia is often characterized by halluciations. Such hallucinations after consumption of drugs are often visual. It may loud sounds, flashes. This can be diagnosed through physical exam, Tests and screening such as MRI or CT scan, psychiatric evaluation: Doctor or health professional checks the mood, behaviour , family history etc. There is DSM - 5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), published by the American Psychiatric Association)

6)Rafael: Dissociative identity Personality disorder: It is charcterized by quick and frequent mood swings. There is reverse change in behavioural pattern. The person becomes impulsive, a pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation

7)Personality disorder: This is again the personality disorder.

9) Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: In this person is contantly cleaning his hand, just to check if germs are there not. t Such compulsons usually take longer time than required. There is excessive and repetative ritualistic behaviour in order to avoid some kind of failure. The person is unaware that these thoughts are being produced.

10) Michael: Hypochondriasis/ Phobia of illness: it is constant fear or worry or health anxiety even if any medical diagnosis is absent. A person may visist doctor and complaint frequently in these condition.Often accomapied with anxiety and stress
