SOLN 1

In a closed container the volume remain constant hence when inert gas is added volume cannot change so the total pressure will increase hence partial pressure of each gas will consecutively decrease

Think of this way

Before addition Pgas = Ptotal (both gases)

after addition

Ptotal = Pgas + Pinert

hence Pgas = Ptotal - Pinert

hence partial pressure will decrease

so option A is CORRECT
