Gender role or sex role is a set of attitude and behaviour that are generally assumed desirable and right for the individuals. It is based on their actual sexuality or perceives sex.

Gender stereotypes refer to ideas, massage, and images about dissimilarity between male and females in a highly simplified manner. They become important because society makes them meaningful.

Journalism and media are considered as the fourth pillar of democracy because it plays a significant role in shaping modern culture like America. The culture of America is also known as mediated culture. citizens and communities are constantly bombarded with information from the various type of source like T.V, magazines, billboards, radios etc. These different type of sources promotes various kind of products, moods, culture, attitude, and sense of belonging to the specific ideology.

It is true that women are considered more speaking and attractive in comparison of man. That is why most of the advertisement, News channels, films and TV serials etc. Are filled with attractive and appealing women in order to attract the audience effectively. It is the harsh truth that in modern time women are generally more in media, not just because they are half of the population but due to this fact, they are more valuable to attract and influence the people.
