Question

An underwater instrument is modeled as shown in the figure.

An underwater instrument is modeled as shown in the figure. Determine the x and the y coordinates of the centroid of this composite volume. (The z-coordinate of the centroid is 0 as the shape is symmetrical above and below the x-y plane). You will end up with very large numbers in your calculations and table. Use engineering notation to write all very large numbers (do not write them out in regular notation). You can keep 4 - 5 SD in the values you use in the table. Be sure to round your final answers appropriately.

2.1 Summary In this part, you will create a figure, and use linear transformations (matrices) to move the figure around the screen. In the end, your figure should move up 8 steps, then turn and face left. Reference material for this part can be found in Linear Algebra, and its applications, David Lay, Section 2.7 starting at the beginning of the section up to, but not incluing,3D Graphics. Also, this poster presentation does a pretty good job explaining the same...

this is one question but with multiple choice questions, sorry. Problem 1 You're in a spaceship in deep space. Your engines are off, and you're far away from any reference points. a) You release a small ball from rest. The ball remains floating at rest in the same position where you released it. What kind of reference frame are you in? Is there any way to tell if you are moving at all? Let's designate your reference frame as S,...

Write a Java program that uses the Monte Carlo method to estimate the value of PI. This method uses the unit circle inscribed in a square with sides of length 2 and random numbers to perform the estimation. The estimation works as follows: • Two random numbers are generated during each iteration of a loop. • The random numbers are each in the range of -1 to 1. One random number is the x-coordinate and the other is the y-coordinate....

And governing equation used Written A rectangular plane wing can be treated as a two-dimensional domain as a rough approximation. The length of the wing is 3 and its width (the height of the domain when represented on a sheet of paper) is 1. The wing is exposed to a heat source at its leftmost edge, with a temperature equal to Trot. The flux of heat in the wing is given by Fourier's law: and throughout the domain a source...

Please help! :) Discussion #3 1. Consider the motion of an object that can be treated as a point particle and is traveling counter-clockwise in a circle of radius R. This motion can (and will for the purposes of these discussion activities) be described and analyzed using a Cartesian (x-y) coordinate system with a spatial origin at the center of the particle's circular trajectory (the physical path its motion traces out in space). The ACME Manufacturing Company has hired you to help automate their production assembly line. Cameras have been placed above a conveyer belt to enables parts on the belt to be photographed and analyzed. You are to augment the system that has been put in place by writing C code to detect the number of parts on the belt, and the positions of each object. The process by which you will do this is called Connected Component Labeling (CCL). These positions...
