Road traffic injuries are the leading cause of unintentional childhood injury leading to death in children older than 4 years. The majority of such deaths occur due to reckless driving and lack of supervision. A notable fact is that children above 10 years are more prone to such incidents. Many die on the site or on the way to hospitals and others a little later.
