Answer #1

Mitosis only :

DNA replication followed by single nuclear division

The new cells produced are genetically identical to each other and to the parent

Meoisis :

During first nuclear divison sister chromatids separates and move to opposite poles

nuckear division occurs twice but cytokinesis occurs only once

During the first nu kear divison chromosomes are lined up along the eauitorial plate

The chromosomes number reduce from 2 set to 1 set

There are two nuclear division, with no DNA replication in between them

Crossing over occurs

Independents assortment of maternal paternal chromosomes

Neither meiosis and nor mitosis :

During first nuclear division, sister kinetochore fuse and move towards same pole

Both meoisis and mitosis :

Chromosomes condense before they attach to the spindle

Synapsis occurs

Homologous chromosomes behave independently of each other
