Answer :- intraspecific competition is a competition between individuals of the same species for the same limiting resources is an example of density dependent factors . There are various factors that regulate and control the population of a particular species such as the available resources in the environment , predation of the species .If the Predators are less for a particular species , the number of the prey species increases. But it increases up to a certain extent. After that the intraspecific competition between the individuals of the species develops resulting in the the exclusion of the recessive individuals by the dominant ones. The dominance of the the individuals in terms of phenotypic characters also result in increasing the reproductive capability of the individual. The fittest species survive in the the competition. The competition for food space and survival from the Predator are dependent on the density dependent factor which is based on the density of a particular species or the number of a particular species in a certain area.

Hence , option D is the correct answer.
