Answer #1

False

Both DNA and RNA are polymers of nucleotides. A nucleotide is made up of a five carbon sugar (pentose sugar), a nitrogenous base and a molecule of phosphoric acid. In DNA and RNA nuclotides are linked together by phospho diester linkages.

Lipids are not polymers. These are molecules that contain hydrocarbons and make up the building blocks of the structure and function of living cells. Examples of lipids include fats and oils, waxes, phospholipids, and steroids. Fats are a stored form of energy and are also known as triacylglycerols or triglycerides. In a triglyceride molecule three fatty acids (e.g. palmitic acid, oleic acid, stearic acid etc.) are ester linked to a single glycerol molecule.
