Given that the circuit we have to find the current I2

Now as we can see from the figure that reading of voltmeter gives the voltage drop across R3 or we can say tha the value of V3

V3 = 12.5 volt

As we can also see that the resistance R2 and R3 are in parallel so the voltage drop across both resistance would be same.

V2 = V3 = 12.5 volt

Now the current I2 = V2/R2

I2 = (12.5/5000) = 2.5 mA

I2 =2.5 mA
