How to design a lid for the mug above on solidwork so it would perfectly fit when assembles together. Please show the steps on how to design and measurements.
The main measurement we need to check is that the outer diameter of the lid should be same as the inner diameter of the mug.
Here the outer diameter of the mug is 3.50 and thickness is 0.09. So,it's inner diameter is 3.41
Now we will make a lid that is having Outer diameter 3.41.
The following drawing may clear what I'm talking about:
Steps for solidworks:
First we will draw the profile of the lid and make it revolve 360.
So, step-1 will be file > New > Part.
Then press on sketch as shown below, and select front plane
Then draw the profile as below:
Then using offset command inner offset of 0.1 and draw lines to close sketch:
Now exit the sketch and press on Revolve Boss/Base. It will take the axis of revolution and profile automatically, if not then select both manually. and press ok
Your LID is ready now.

how to design this mug and it's lid separately in solidwork and generate dimensioned drawings of the two parts(the mug and lid).
Please help with these 2 questions. 1- Design mug with a lid separately on solidworks with appropriate dimensions so that they will perfectly fit together when assembled. The mug should have the height of 7 inches. The design should include either a shell or loft. All fillets should have a radius of 0.30 inches. 2- Make an assembly using the parts and generate dimensioned drawings of the two parts
Please help with these 3 questions. 1) Design a cup with a lid with appropriate dimensions so that they will perfectly fit together in an assembly in solidworks. The cup should have the height of 6.50 inches. All fillets should have a radius of 0.30 inches. 2) Make an assembly and mate the parts together. 3)Generate dimensioned drawings of the parts and assembly,
Please explain the steps How fast would two nuclei have to move so that in a head-on collision they would get close enough to fuse? (Treat the nuclei as point charges, and assume that a separation of 1.0 × 10-15 m is required for fusion.) Express your answer using two significant figures. Constants If two deuterium nuclei (charge +e, mass 3.34 x 10-27kg) get close enough together, the attraction of the strong nuclear force will fuse them to make an...

If you could please show the formulas used I would really appreciate it! You are called as an expert witness to analyze the following auto accident: Car B, of mass 1900 kg, was stopped at a red light when it was hit from behind by car A, of mass 1500 kg. The cars locked bumpers during the collision and slid to a slop with brakes locked on all wheels. Measurements of the skid marks left by the tires showed them...
answers are given in bold. im not understanding how they got the answer so can you please show me and or explain to me how they got it as simple as possible. tips and tricks in what to look for when answering these questions. will rate only if All questions are answered (28 through 36) please 28-31. Please show all work and steps! Would like to learn how! Given a second order linear homogeneous differential equation a2(x)y" + a1(x)y' + 20 (x)y = 0 we know that a fundamental set for this ODE consists of a pair linearly independent solutions Yı, Y2. But there are times when only one function, call it Yı, is available and we would like to find a second linearly independent solution. We can find Y2 using the method of reduction of order....
Please show all your work. 5) Acceleration is to velocity as velocity is to position . aaux"# r where vr įs the instantaneous velocity. So the average acceleration is about how rapidly the instantaneous velocity is changing, and the sign tells about the direction of the change. At For the pendulum, you made estimates of the instantaneous velocity for ←2.05[s] and t= 2.5%]. Also, the average speed and average velocity estimates that you made at other times may be reasonable...
