how to design this mug and it's lid separately in solidwork and generate dimensioned drawings of the two parts(the mug and lid).
I'm assuming the dimensions here as its not given.
I'm using Solidworks 2017. The process is same for all the versions.
File > New > Part
Press on Revolve Boss/Base
Select Front plane.
Now draw this figure as shown below:
Now make offset using offset entities command and take 5mm thickness of offset.
Make sketch closed by joining the ends using lines. As the skech is closed it will show light blue shade. Draw centerline at 100 mm distance. Also draw the base
No press on green right on the upper right corner and press exit sketch.
Select centerline as axis of revolution.
Object will look like below:
Now give fillet of 2.5 mm to upper edges.
Now for the handle, select front plane and press sketch
Draw following sketch
Now press on revolve as below:
Then Ok.
The mug is ready.
Now for the LID.
The inner radius of Mug is 135 mm.
So, outer radius of lid will be same.
Using revolve we can make lid.
File > New > Part
Draw a new sketch as below and revolve it for 360 degrees
So the lid will look like this:

Please help with these 2 questions. 1- Design mug with a lid separately on solidworks with appropriate dimensions so that they will perfectly fit together when assembled. The mug should have the height of 7 inches. The design should include either a shell or loft. All fillets should have a radius of 0.30 inches. 2- Make an assembly using the parts and generate dimensioned drawings of the two parts
How to design a lid for the mug above on solidwork so it would
perfectly fit when assembles together. Please show the steps on how
to design and measurements.

Please help with these 3 questions. 1) Design a cup with a lid with appropriate dimensions so that they will perfectly fit together in an assembly in solidworks. The cup should have the height of 6.50 inches. All fillets should have a radius of 0.30 inches. 2) Make an assembly and mate the parts together. 3)Generate dimensioned drawings of the parts and assembly,

Design Thinking Assignment (HW#2) Observations to Insights Now it's time to practice a little design thinking. When talking about observation as a core tenet of design thinking, it's easy to say, "I've observed all my life. I don't need to practice observing. Well, you haven't been observing your entire life..you've just been seeing. When we observe with purpose and intention, we often see new things. This mindshift is about getting outside of the classroom, observing, and...

In the final project, students will design a motor controller based on the light level on a phototransistor: When illumination is very high, the motor will be stopped 6V will be applied to the motor under low light conditions: The circuit must provide at least 60 mA at 6V to the motor. If the motor is stalled, the maximum current shall not exceed 150 mA. . You will need to measure (characterize) the properties of the phototransistor under both light...
