total sample size = total degree of freedom + 1 = 18 +1 = 19

SST = (total standard deviatio * total degree of freedom)^2 = (2*18)^2 = 1296

So SST is 1296

Now if we look at the F table at alpha = 0.25

we have F value at 4 degree of freedom for numerator (5-1) and 14 degree of freedom at numerator (19-5) is 1.519

So F value is 1.519

Based on this,

F= MSA/MSE

Now MSA = SSA/ degree of freedom betweein group

MSA =SSA/4

MSE =SSE/degree of freedom witihn group

MSE = SSE/14

Now

SST = SSA +SSE

so SSA = SST-SSE

Based on all value

F = (SSA/4)/(SSE/14)

F = ((SST-SSE)/4)/SSE/14

F = 1.519

SST =1296

1.519 = ((1296-SSE)/4)/(SSE/14)

1.519*SSE/14 = (1296-SSE)/4

6.076 SSE = 18144 -14SSE

20.076 SSE = 18144

SSE =903.76

so SSE = 903.76

SSA = SST-SSE = 1296 - 903.76 = 392.24

SSA = 392.24

Now,

MSA = SSA/4

MSA = 392.24/4 = 98.058

MSA = 98.058

MSE = SSE/14 = 903.76/14 = 64.555

MSE=64.555

So

SST =1296

SSE =903.76

SSA =392.23

MSA = 98.058

MSE = 64.555
