Grand total = 987

therefore,

Probability of first driver intoxicated = Total of driver intoxicated / Grand total

= 126 / 987

= 0.128

Probability of second driver intoxicated is (From remaining 986 people) = 125 / 986

= 0.127

So,

Probability that they both involved drivers that were intoxicated = 0.128 * 0.127

= 0.0163

= 1.63 %

Required probability = 1.6
