Answer #1

Answer:

claim is P\neq 0.354

a)

This is two tailed test.

b)

test statistics: z= 1.92

p-value = 2 * ( 1- p( z < 1.92 ))

using normal z table we get,

p(z< 1.92) = 0.9726

p-value = 2 * ( 1 - 0.9726 )

p-value = 0.0548

P-Value = 0.055

c)

decision rule is

Reject Ho if ( p-value ) < \alpha

here (p-value = 0.055 ) > 0.01

hence,

D.fail to reject Ho, There is not sufficient evidence to support the claim that p\neq 0.354
