19) All of these requires DNA ligase , the main function of the DNA ligase is the joining of the the two DNA segments or the attachment of nucleotide or base pairs in the DNA segment . In the replication process , it occurs in two segments that is continuous segment or thr okazaki fragments , the okazaki fragments are joined together by the DNA ligase . The combination is defined as the process of transfer or exchange of DNA segment between two homologous chromosomes. The exchange materials are joined in the the DNA segment by ligase enzyme . DNA ligase 3 along with the cofactors are involved in the nucleotide and base pair repair excision mechanism . DNA ligase 1 is involved in the ligation of a segement of DNA . DNA ligase are also known as molecular glue.
